James “Andy McLEOD” Obst came out on top of the first PLO SCOOP MTT of 2016 in a star-studded field of 244 players. The event was SCOOP-11-H $1050 PLO 6max rebuy tournament with $200k guaranteed prize money. James has produced a number of strategy videos relating to MTT play on Runitonce.com training site. He most certainly is no stranger to success in online poker tournaments, as he has achieved the PokerStars Triple COOP status, winning events in SCOOP, TCOOP and WCOOP. The same tournament also ran with medium and buy-in events. The medium buy-in was $109 with $100k of guaranteed prize money. The Irishman “reilly11014” emerged as a winner among 866 entrants and took home a tad under $40k.
The low buy-in option attracted 2442 players for a buy in of $11 and $25k in guaranteed prizes. Finnish “me so fish” was crowned the winner for over $13k and Nutblocker’s Andreas “Skjervøy” Torbergsen finished 5th for just under $3k.
