Thailand has many threats; venomous snakes, world’s deadliest traffic, attractive women and gummibears. Yes, gummibears. I have fallen victim to the last two, first of which is not that threatening after all. In fact she’s pretty awesome. But the latter one is a threat to my well being. So, it’s time to take action.
Buddy of mine recently successfully concluded a 100 day challenge without alcohol while exercising 60 min each day. He spoke very highly of it, so what the hell: for the next 100 days, I will exercise every day and refrain from eating sweets. Sweets in this case include the following:
- candy (last big bear hug to gummibears)
- sodas (not a problem recently anyway, but this is the worst thing you can legally eat/drink…I have a long, dark history with Pepsi)
- dessert (arrivederci, tiramisu)
I will allow myself to put a bit of honey in my evening tea.
The exercise will be min 30min each day. It will consist of calisthenics (not gonna spell check that one), hitting/kicking a bag and kettlebell exercises.
Why do I wanna do this? I was in a great workout rhythm for a good part of 2015 but have been slacking off recently. Also having sugary stuff over lunch will cause your energy to crash in the afternoon when you still wanna be in a beast grind mode. Also in general can’t be too bad to get off sugar when you have high genetic risk of diabetes.
I will update the progress sporadically in my forum blog thread.
Who’s with me?
