It’s no surprise that Viktor “Isildur1” Blom is a fan favorite in the poker world, getting 62% of all votes on our poll. His aggressive playing style combined with multi-million dollar swings at the tables are something that poker fans love to watch and follow.
This is something that PokerStars should consider capitalizing on now that they are in the middle of a turmoil. There have already been 2 strikes protesting against the unpopular VIP changes, possibly with more to come. Getting Isildur1 back on their tables playing high stakes day-to-day would be something that many poker fans would see as favorable progression, even attracting new players to the games as the word spreads about a fearless player who’s ready to take on anyone.
Nutblocker blogger Johannes “napsus” Ankelo started a petition on TwoplusTwo to bring Isildur1 back to PokerStars: Petition: PokerStars should re-sign online poker king Isildur1 on their Pro Team. Napsus argued that the SuperStar Showdown concept where he played other poker beasts Heads-up was a huge success, he has had MTT success both live and online, he is a fan favorite and the most exciting player to rail at the tables…who would more suitable player to bring action back to PokerStars high stakes, not only NLHE and PLO, but Mixed Games as well. Viktor “Isildur1” Blom is a complete package.
